Start with a manual forward. That gives you a clean confirmation that the alias, inbox ledger, and private feed are all behaving correctly.
After the first success:
- Use sender-level forwarding rules if the sender or mailbox provider supports them.
- Keep the original sender intact when possible so Roast preserves context.
- Avoid forwarding giant attachment-heavy messages. Cloudflare Email Routing hard-rejects mail above 25 MiB before Roast ever sees it.
If a sender cannot be auto-forwarded cleanly, keep manual forwarding for that source.
